Why buy an ISBN Number?
ISBN numbers enables books/eBooks to be DISCOVERED by potential customers and TRACKED by retailers/wholesalers. By assigning an ISBN to a title and having it listed on the Global Books in Print database, there is a greater likelihood your book can be discovered by potential buyers. An ISBN number is also crucial to point-of-sale and supply chain identification for inventory and sales recording.
How do I select a package?
Where you intend to sell your books will determine which package you should select. Around 90% of our clients select the Self-Publisher Package because they are primarily going to self-distribute their books. Publishers who intend to sell through distributors, Amazon KDP, and large retailers will need to purchase the Publisher Package for $129 each.
How many ISBNs do I need?
Every format of a title requires a unique ISBN number. For example, a title which is available as a paperback and an eBook would need two different ISBNs.Booksellers utilize the unique ISBNs to distinguish which title-format is being sold and so they can track and consequently reorder replacements.
Where do I enter my title data?
Client portals are used to manage all of your book title information and cover art (optional). After your order has been processed you will receive an email with your ISBN assignment(s) and a link directly to a PORTAL. All book title data is to be entered and managed through this application. This information is automatically uploaded to the Global Books in Print Database.
How do I get my barcode?
Clients who purchase the Self-Publisher Package will be able to automatically create their ISBN digital barcode file directly on the PORTAL. Once title and pricing information is entered, clients can receive their barcode files instantly. Clients who purchase the Publisher Package will receive their barcode files when they receive their ISBN number assignment email.
